Four large-scale animations created in collaboration with Sundance TV for the 2015 Sundance Film Festival. Visuals on view at Sundance TV HQ in Park City, Utah on giant 34-foot-wide LED screen.
Animations explore the concept of "story" and it's importance to Sundance's brand messaging- the light, the scene, scenes that define and the creative process of writing and storytelling. Visuals all created with handmade elements and photographed including type from my beloved 1945 Remington DeLuxe typewriter (typewriters as a magical age-old tool for writers and tale-tellers throughout history.)

I spent two years working with an awesome start-up based in San Francisco called VOO!, a social platform geared towards shared creativity. I collaborated with them soup-to-nuts, working as Creative Director on everything from brand analysis, copywriting, storyboarding, character design, presentations, creating virtual goods and environments…you name it, I did it.
Print Structures is an awesome creative printing lab specializing in rich visual experiences based in downtown NYC. I’ve worked with them on a bunch of exciting projects including: branding and strategy, website, marketing materials, retail environments, large-scale light boxes, wallpapers and one-of-a-kind furniture and lighting.
The 1000 Journals Project is an ongoing collaborative experiment following 1000 journals throughout their travels. I got involved in the project as one of a group of artists asked to create an original journal cover. Years later, out of hundreds of journal entries, my art was chosen for the cover of a published compilation by Chronicle Books. The project expanded into a film by Andrea Kreuzhage, where I designed the title credits and worked with an animator. There have been several exhibitions featuring the journals including a show at the SF MoMA.
The N, Nickelodeon’s teen televisions network, commissioned me to create six characters for use in animated on-air spots as part of a rebranding project. The characters needed to appeal to the young, teenage demographic and captured the essence of six diverse “types” each with a distinct voice.
Child Troopers is a socio-political documentary film by Ebony Butler. The film is about the longest running war in Africa headed by Joseph Kony, notorious for mass abductions and using child soldiers. Ebony contacted me to create branding and visuals for posters and apparel.
